Yep, good morning. I've only just realised there's a blogging app for my phone, which is handy as I'll be able to update more often. I have my PC in the house so it's always been something I'm interacting with instead of being here in the studio.
So I'm working on a large piece just now, having just completed my surprise commission. Surprising because I hadn't expected it. I posted a photo of my mostly completed portrait of my youngest lad, on Twitter, asking 'anyone' if they wanted a portrait. One gentleman did and he commissioned a 2'*3' portrait of his son which he gifted to his wife on her birthday. This has led to him taking more of my work which has been very encouraging.
Anyway, this large piece I'm building on just now is entirely from my imagination. Not a photo like my previous work. But then, I'm creating it as a visual metaphor or statement, so I'm arranging things with a purpose in mind. I must say, the more time I spend on this the more exciting and rewarding it is. It has been years since I had this level of confidence in my abilities.

I'm feeling like this is getting near the end of development, and I have a number of other canvases planned next.
